Richard W. Walters
Mr. Walters is an attorney with the law firm of Shaffer & Shaffer, PLLC, where he represents individuals, private corporations, nonprofit companies and government agencies in all facets of labor and employment law. His areas of representation include, but are not limited to, matters involving Wage and Hour law, wrongful termination, the West Virginia Human Rights Act, ADA, FMLA, NLRB, employment contracts, employee guidelines and sexual harassment.
Mr. Walters received his B.A. degree from the University of Charleston, his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law and a Masters in Public Administration from the Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Administration. He has been admitted to practice in West Virginia and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia since 1995 and lectures regularly on a variety of employment matters.
